Blog like no one is reading it

Since I started this blog, my goal was to build a community of readers right off the bat. I don’t know why I was thinking that because I already knew from the past blogging experiences that it takes time for that to happen. So I set myself back into reality and toning down a bit of my confidence.

A couple of days ago I was browsing through my Instagram feed of others accounts and looked at the amount of followers, when it clicked to me that no one really reads my blog. I check my reader views once a week. There was maybe 1 or 2 views in 2-4 month span.

I thought to myself “No one is reading my blog.” I started worrying if I should even continue because the whole purpose of writing in “public” is to have people read it. It kinda bummed me out for a couple of minutes.

But I’ve realized that I have to stop doing things just so others can acknowledge it. Because once it gets acknowledged it will either be complemented or criticized. When it gets to that point, it will be open for conversation that will no longer have the same meaning I put into it.

Then I started thinking about “No one is reading my blog!” phrase again and viewed it in a different perspective. All of a sudden I started feeling excited and confident. Like OMG I could literally write and upload whatever the heck I WANT! And NO ONE is reading it! Like having a personal diary but in public.

Here I am blogging like no one is reading. Blogging about the small joys in my life. Not going to worry about others because this is my life to live and love.
