Time is one of the most valuable resources we have. And this is a fact that many of us forget. It’s easy to spend our time in learning and training, but it’s important to put theories into real life practice.
If you’re a learner, you’ve probably been there. You learn a lot of theory and can tell the difference between the right and wrong way to do something. But without putting those theory into practice, it has no value to you.
Learning is fun. But learning burnout happens to many people. You learn so much about the subject, but you don’t get any practical application from it. In reality, your mind is stagnating with knowledge you know exists out there but have no idea how to leverage it.
I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos from people who are teaching viewers to create YouTube videos to gain the first 1,000 followers in less than a month. It made me think about my own learning style, and I feel like I have learned a lot in the past year. But there is also this point when you learn so much and yet nothing applies to your life or work outside of your coursework. Here’s when you can use that knowledge but don’t do anything with it.
When you make a decision to learn different ways of becoming a better man, one thing you need to keep in mind is that the more time you make for yourself to learn, the less time you have for actually putting it into practice.
Watching and subscribing to many YouTube channels or Instagram accounts can lead to learning overload. You will end up spending more of your time watching versus creating.
So when will you be start putting into practice all that you’ve learned?
What is one subject you’ve been learning lately? How long did it take you to finish learning? Or are you still learning? Do you put deadlines for these learning sessions? Let me know in the comments your thoughts.
